Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information (name, email address, password hash)
- Documents you upload for analysis — deleted immediately after analysis completes
- Payment information — processed by Stripe, we never see your card details
We automatically collect limited technical data: IP address (for security), browser type, device type, and pages visited.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the document analysis service
- To process payments via Stripe
- To send account and billing notifications
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve our service quality
Your Documents
We do not store your documents. Files uploaded for analysis are processed and permanently deleted from our servers upon completion — or upon any error. Analysis results (the AI-generated summary, flags, and other outputs) are stored in your account for your reference.
We do not use your document content to train AI models. We do not sell, share, or disclose document content to any third party.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with:
- Stripe — payment processing, governed by Stripe's privacy policy
- Anthropic — AI analysis provider, document content processed per Anthropic's API terms
- Firebase / Google — authentication and database infrastructure
- Railway — hosting infrastructure
- Law enforcement when legally required
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Firebase Auth for secure identity management
- HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite cookies for session management
- Rate limiting and brute-force protection
- Magic byte file validation beyond MIME type checking
- Immediate deletion of uploaded files post-analysis
Your Rights
You may request to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your analysis history

Cookies
We use only essential cookies for authentication (httpOnly session cookies). We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
Children's Privacy
DocClarify is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us immediately.
